I’m an associate professor in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I spent 30 years in newsrooms as a reporter and editor, including three years as managing editor of The Detroit News. After all those years, I still have a passion for journalism and I love sharing that passion with my students. I teach editing, reporting, ethics and multimedia classes. The journalism industry is changing rapidly and navigating through those changes hasn’t been easy. But I see an exciting future, where journalists have greater reach and more readers than ever.
